We’re extremely proud to announce that our animated short film, “Love in the Time of March Madness” has been selected to premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival this April, 2014!
The film will be screening as part of an amazing line up of short films in the Narrative Shorts category. After three years of work, the animation team here at KAPWA is excited to have the privilege of launching our project in such a fantastic festival.
Decisions confront the characters in these narrative shorts. This plethora of predicaments deals with work, family, and friends, though not necessarily in that order. Love in the Time of March Madness tells the animated and awkward true-life misadventure of being 6’4” tall since 8th grade, becoming a basketball star, and dating shorter men. Indiewire
“Love in the Time of March Madness” is an epic first-time collaboration between KAPWA founder Robertino Zambrano and writer Melissa Johnson who directed and produced the piece together. The film’s animation was all proudly produced by the Sydney-based team here at KAPWA Studioworks. We’ll be travelling with the film to New York – so if you’re around, hope to see you there!
